We work with several community clinics to plan the move to a lower level of care. One partner provides sober living vouchers.

Staffing
Staffed 24 hours a day. Our team includes behavioral health professionals (BHPs), behavioral health technicians (BHTs), nursing, and peer support staff, including Native American staff.
Medications
We support medication for addiction treatment (MAT), and staff assist residents with their medications.

Continuity of care
If a resident relapses
Recovery isn’t always a straight line. If a resident has a severe relapse and needs medical detox, we refer them to a detox program. We hold their bed while they are in detox. When detox is finished, the detox program refers them back to At Peace, and they return to their own bed and a team that already knows them.

Ask about current bed availability and whether the program fits the person’s needs. Please leave client names and health details out of a first email.

Authorization and admission
AHCCCS requires prior authorization for residential behavioral health stays.
We submit the authorization to AHCCCS for you. It usually takes about 72 hours.
Who we work with
Detox programs and sober living homes
Detox is the first step. What comes next matters.
Working with detox programs
Detox programs refer adults to us once they are medically stable and ready for discharge. The relationship works both ways: if one of our residents relapses severely and needs medical detox, we refer them to detox and hold their bed. When detox is finished, they come back to At Peace to continue treatment.

A resident may be committed to recovery and still need more structure, supervision, and stabilization before sober living is the right level of support.

Residential care. Connected to your program.
Tribal programs have every reason to be careful about Phoenix placements. The burden of proof is ours, not yours.
How we coordinate with you
- We agree the plan before your member travels, including the trip home.
- You stay on the case. Progress updates on the schedule you set.
- Ask for our licensing and inspection history and we will send it the same day.
- Come see it. Call from the driveway and we will walk you through the house and introduce the staff.
What we do not do
This list is here because of what was done to your communities, and because it has not fully stopped.
- No recruiting. No street outreach, no vans, no finders, no payment for referrals.
- We do not hold anyone’s AHCCCS card, tribal ID, or documents.
- We do not enroll anyone in AIHP or change anyone’s health plan.
- We do not keep a member who wants to go home. Travel home is arranged.
